Sagen AI How to Turn On Your Mic¶

Enabling Mic Permissions From the START BUTTON¶

Tap the START button that appears when your Sagen AI Assistant first loads.
On the first time you visit your Assistant, a popup dialog that instructs you to enable your mic and sound will appear. Press the CONTINUE button and you will be prompted to allow microphone permissions by your browser.
Press ALLOW to allow permissions.

If you do not see the browser popup described above, please see instructions in the next section.

Unblocking Permissions¶

If you no longer receive the prompt by your browser requesting permissions, and your Sagen AI Assistant starts in text typing mode, then you have previously blocked permissions to the microphone. To unblock permissions, please read the how-to instructions below for the specific device on which you are attempting to access your Sagen AI Assistant.

Chrome on Android¶

Go to the Sagen AI Assistant’s page or refresh the page if already there.
Press the START button and then CONTINUE button to start your Sagen AI Assistant.
In your URL bar to the left of the website address, tap the button to the left of the URL. The button will appear as either a blocked mic icon or as a settings icon.
Tap Permissions. Then unblock the mic and allow sound. Select Reset your permissions.
Turn on your volume.
Refresh your page.
Select START and CONTINUE. Then select ALLOW if asked for permission to use the microphone.

Chrome on your iOS Phone¶

Go to your Sagen AI Assistant’s page or refresh the page if already there.
Press the START button and then CONTINUE button to start your Sagen AI Assistant.
Turn off silent mode and turn on your volume.
Select ALLOW when asked for permission to use the microphone.

Chrome on Your Computer¶

Go to the Sagen AI Assistant’s page or refresh the page if already there.
Press the START button and then CONTINUE button to start your Sagen AI Assistant.
To the right of the URL in the URL address bar, tap the disabled mic button.
Select the option to enable the mic.
Turn on your volume.
Refresh your page.
Select START and CONTINUE. Then select ALLOW if asked for permission to use the microphone.

Safari on your iOS Phone¶

Go to your Sagen AI Assistant’s page or refresh the page if already there.
Press the START button and then CONTINUE button to start your Sagen AI Assistant.
Turn on your volume.
Select ALLOW when asked for permission to use the microphone.

Safari on your Mac Computer¶

Go to your Sagen AI Assistant’s page or refresh the page if already there.
Press the START button and then CONTINUE button to start your Sagen AI Assistant.
Select ALLOW when asked for permission to use the microphone.
If you are not prompted for permissions, then in the upper left corner of your Mac, select the Safari then Preferences menu item.
Go to Websites, then Microphone from the left menu.
Look for an entry for my.sagen.ai or designer.sagen.ai and select Allow in the drop down.

Firefox on Your Phone or Computer¶

Go to your Sagen AI Assistant’s page or refresh the page if already there.
Press the START button and then CONTINUE button to start your Sagen AI Assistant.
Select ALLOW when asked for permission to use the microphone.

Microsoft Edge on Your Computer¶

Select the lock icon located near the right side of your search bar.
Select the drop-down menu next to the microphone.
Change the microphone access to Allow.
Refresh the browser tab (CTRL + R).
